Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.~Storm Jameson
Think about happiness.... Are you happy? Am I happy? Honestly, I can answer that question with a yes. I am amazed that despite the difficulty of being away from my home, family, friends, and JT, I still feel ultimately happy and blessed. Being blessed and realizing the blessings I do have has been the revolutionizing factor taking me from seeing my life as a series of struggles and conditional happiness to grasping each moment, loving people for who they are and forgetting about who they are not, and enjoying the small, simple blessings God has given me. Moreover, I have come to find my happiness in who I am in God and how he sees me as opposed to how everyone else sees me. In the mirror, I am chubby with a flawed appearance and a messy room who says the wrong thing and thinks the wrong things and has no money. Yet, when God looks at me, He sees me for who I am and what I can be.... Being honest I can say that this is a struggle daily....a struggle for growth and remaining happy with myself and therefore happy with everyone around me. However, I know that being happy is a choice, one I have to wake up each morning and choose, yet one that is ultimately making a difference in my life.

If you're afraid to let someone else see your weakness, take heart: Nobody's perfect. Besides, your attempts to hide your flaws don't work as well as you think they do.
~Julie Morgenstern, O Magazine, April 2004
.....SO I talked about the first quote....what do you think about this one. You can post anonymously or not, but I would really like to hear what each one of you thinks.

These are pictures from my friends in Miami and a few random ones from here in Dominica. I do not have my 4th of July pictures loaded yet. Once I do, I plan to share them as well. I am so excited that JT is coming on Tuesday. I have so much planned for his visit on top of school commitments and studying. We are going to snorkel, hike, tour the island, play basketball, and much more. I am very anxious and happy to see my best friend. I have missed him so much over the last year and a half and can't wait for Tuesday....I hope you enjoy the pictures and my thoughts from today. Aunt Kathy, I am still waiting on reunion pictures. OHHHH, so I have updated the template on my blog. I want some feedback....Do you like or not? I wanted to get a fancier one but I am incapable of designing or downloading one.....so if anyone is gifted in that way....let me know.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.

Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city. Mmmmmm!

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within....I like this one!!
