I wanted to take a moment to update my blog...I start Monday in the hospital...actually Monday I have to go for orientation so I won't get much exposure then....So I guess I really start on Tuesday. JT starts his job on Monday as well. Things are going well....It is getting cool up here, which after being in Dominica, is nice....Though I am sure I will hate it when January comes and I am commuting....We look forward to visitors... OK everyone, Here it is....Our HUGE apt.....I say sarcastically. It is finally unpacked and decorated, though we are still without a trashcan. Ironic that you can't just go to target or WalMart of course.. Other good news is that I have clinical schedule....I posted it below. Please feel free to comment. I don't have any pictures of our place yet, but I will tomorrow. We are moved in and I do have good news....I PASSED MY TEST. Granted the score was not great but it was passing. So for those who don't know, we found a place in NYC. We are living in Astoria, Queens which is about a 25 minute commute into midtown Manhattan. It is a small one bedroom in a three year old building that is sixteen stories tall. We are lucky because we have an elevator and air conditioning. Also, because we are on the second floor, we have a large terrace/patio that we share with only one neighbor, a single mother and her five year old daughter. I posted A LOT of pictures below of our apartment and our travels in Chicago and NYC. I hope that you enjoy the pictures. We are leaving on Monday morning for New York. I should start my rotations in early November considering that I get my scores in the next two weeks or so. I am still keeping my fingers crossed about my scores.

In case you were wondering, we are still in Chicago. Last night JT and I went to my friend Lisa Foody's house in Aurora, outside of Chicago. We are staying in her family's condo in Lincoln Park but went to dinner at their house. We had a blast and dinner was fabulous. Afterwards we went to Paul and Tara's home in Palatine, IL. We stayed there last night and went to church with them today at Willow Creek. The pastor, whose name escapes me, preached on God's voice in your life. We found it applicable because on any given day you may here so many opinions from so many people about you should do with your life. And basically, the message boiled down to listening to God and saying Yes, and saying to no to what you want and the world wants. His message came at an appropriate time for us to say the least.

Today we have been cleaning up the condo. We went to the grocery and bought some snacks for dinner. Jason is here and he is watching football with JT. I am, obviously, updating my blog. I am just glad he, JT, can talk sports with someone else for a few hours! I am kidding; I Love sports and my husband so both are great with me.

Tomorrow, JT, Jason, Paul, and I are going into the city and running around. We then fly out Tuesday for New York!

I am reading real books now. I would love some suggestions. Currently I am reading Ann Packer's "Songs Without Words". I just finished Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns." So let me know.....

I want to take a moment and let everyone know that I am alive. I took my board exam on Monday, September 24. Thus, I have not posted because of my studying. Since then, JT and I went to Oklahoma to visit my granpa, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Kenny, and my cousins. We are now in Chicago, YAY, to visit my friends Lisa and Jason and our friend Paul from Western Kentucky University. We are staying at Lisa's parents' condo in Lincoln Park downtown Chicago. Today we are going downtown to Michigan Avenue and walking around. Tonight we are going to Wrigley Field, well at least a nearby restaurant to watch the game and hope the Cubs clinch. Tomorrow night is dinner with Lisa's family.

Sorry it has taken so long to update. I am back in the game now!!! Thank you for your many prayers during my tests. I hope to make everyone proud.

Well, today is our fourth anniversary. We celebrated by eating breakfast with my friend David Hafley and his girlfriend, Sarah. The place we went was very cool and I enjoyed it very much. The food was amazing....I had a raspberry and cream cheese filled french toast. It is a good thing I have been running. Now I am going to start reading for our upcoming 5 days of physiology lectures. JT is going to run at a near by park while sit in the park and read. Again it is so nice to be home! I hope things are going well with everyone. I am assuming that they are since I having not heard for anyone. Just in case anyone wants to know, rather than canceling my vonage number, the one everyone has been calling for two years, it is now forwarded to my cell phone. So call whatever number you have.
